Tradie Shed & Van Fit-Out Ideas: Wall Storage That Actually Holds
A good fit-out isn't about buying more storage — it's about getting tools off the floor and into a spot where they're visible, secure and ready to grab. Here's the order we'd tackle a shed or van fit-out, based on what our customers buy and what they tell us works.
1. Drills, drivers and grinders on the wall
Handheld power tools are the biggest floor-and-bench cloggers. Rail-grip tool wall mounts hold each tool by its battery rail or body — we make them for Milwaukee M18/M12, Ryobi ONE+, Makita, DeWalt, AEG and Ozito, in singles and 5-packs. Mount them in a row at chest height and your most-used tools become a one-hand grab.
2. A charging station, not a charging corner
Wall-mount your chargers with the batteries beside them. Charger wall mounts for Milwaukee, Makita and DeWalt keep cables tidy and turn a power point into a proper charging station. Flat batteries go in the left slots, charged on the right — no more guessing.
3. The big awkward stuff: blowers, vacs and trimmers
Leaf blowers, stick vacs and whipper snippers are the worst things to store — bulky, odd-shaped, always in the way. Dedicated brackets fix that: we make wall mounts for Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt, Ryobi and EGO blowers, stick vac brackets, and hedge trimmer and whipper snipper mounts. In a van, a mounted blower doesn't become a projectile on the first roundabout.
4. Lock your Packout stack down
For van and trailer fit-outs, Packout wall mounting brackets bolt to the wall or floor so your stack clicks in and stays put while you drive. Add inserts inside each box and the whole system is sorted from wall to drawer.
5. The small stuff
Spray can holders, bit organisers, extension cord organisers — cheap additions that clear the last of the bench clutter.
Why PETG mounts over metal hooks?
Generic metal hooks hold nothing securely — tools slide off. Our mounts are 3D printed in tough, heat-resistant PETG, shaped to the exact tool or battery they hold, so everything clicks in positively. They're designed and made in Queensland for Aussie conditions, and most cost less than a carton.
Start with whatever annoys you most every morning — that's usually the blower or the battery pile. Browse our best sellers or the full range. Free shipping on orders over $70, shipped fast from Queensland.
