Good questions
Before we get printing.
Is it really free?
Yes. If your agreed design and print total is $150 or less at our standard rates, you pay nothing for that work or standard Australian postage. If it costs more, the first $150 is on us and you can choose whether to proceed with the quoted balance. Digital files are an optional $50 extra.
Do I need to know how to design in 3D?
No. Send a sketch, photo or drawing with clear measurements and tell us what the part needs to do. We'll let you know if we need more information before modelling it.
Can you copy a broken part?
Send clear photos of the part from several angles, together with measurements. We'll assess whether we can recreate it from the information provided. We don't accept safety-critical parts, weapons, copyrighted characters or brand logos.
Can I choose the material and colour?
This offer covers PETG and ABS only. Tell us your preferred colour and how the part will be used. We'll confirm the suitable material and available colour before starting.
What does the $50 file option include?
You can add the digital design files for $50. We'll confirm the supplied file formats and permitted use before you decide. You don't need to buy the files to receive your free printed part.
How long will it take?
Timing depends on the design, any changes and our print queue. We'll confirm an estimated timeframe when we review your project. Standard postage is included; delivery time is additional to design and printing.
What if I need more parts afterwards?
Tell us the quantity you have in mind and we can quote a batch or ongoing supply. You're welcome to start with this first part without committing to further orders.
Offer terms
- Available to the first 20 eligible new customers whose projects are accepted during October 2026. One offer per person or business, on their first order only. Offer ends at 11:59 pm AEST on 31 October 2026, or when all 20 places are allocated, whichever comes first.
- The offer covers up to $150 AUD of combined design and 3D printing at A1 Tools Australia's standard rates. Larger jobs receive $150 off the combined design and print price. We will confirm the scope and any extra cost before starting; extra work proceeds only with your approval.
- PETG or ABS only. Colour choice is subject to availability and is confirmed before work begins. Projects must be suitable for the material and our printing process.
- Includes one round of design changes within the agreed project scope before printing. Any additional revisions or work outside that scope will be quoted separately for approval.
- Free standard postage to Australian addresses. Online enquiries and orders only; no pickups.
- Digital design files are not included in the free offer. They can be added for $50 AUD, including GST. File formats and permitted use will be confirmed before purchase. Buying files is optional.
- No weapons, copyrighted characters, brand logos or safety-critical parts. Please only submit designs and reference material you are entitled to use.
- All stated offer values and prices are in Australian dollars, including GST. Project suitability, offer availability and timing are confirmed by email before work begins.
