The centre hole is positioned for a direct stud screw — the strongest option. The two side holes give you the flexibility to add wall anchors for extra hold on plasterboard, brick, or anywhere you can't hit a stud. Built-in spacer geometry means standard wood screws sit flush; button-head screws work straight in.
